Pricing?? Help needed!

I've been seriously looking for a spyder for the past 6 mos now and I think I may have found her! I set a budget for myself of about 13k and started looking for a used sypder. We'll I found a local dealer with a brand new 09 SM5 with 0.4 mi on it who is willing to sell for about 15k. Is that a deal or is he just trying to sucker me in? KBB says it should be worth about 13.65 but I'm not to sure how accurate that is...btw the spyder is pretty much stock no added features from what I could tell. any advise???:helpsmilie::helpsmilie:

I think 15k is to much ! Should be around 13,500 and i think BRP is throwing in 1k in accesories for the 09s? :dontknow:

I agree, I bought a brand new '08 with fog lamps installed for $13,200 and it had been custom painted blue by the dealer. You should be able to get them down on the price.

It is slightly discounted from MSRP, unless that price is "out the door," in which case it is a much better bargain. If that is the price before freight, setup, tax, title, and license...you can do better.

15500 is list, You should work down from there. Also BRP is offering
a 1000$ rebate and free 3 year warranty. Shop around. Have fun kicking

when people trade in their Spyders some dealers are only giving them between 8 and 10K for a trade in price. 15K is way too much - I wouldn't pay that for a used spyder.

Hello blkcollegemanutk, since you are asking, I would stick with your $13 grand price. I believe you can get one heck of a machine for that price. I've seen them here in this forum in that price range. There's going to be quite a few more out there for sale with the 2010's out here now.

Buy a used bike...no need to buy a new one...

If you have $13K and can pay cash, then I would offer the dealer that and take it from there. Many times cash money will speak very loudly, especially given the current status of the economy.
