• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

prices of rs,rss and st

Hard to say

As with all used vehicles I would expect some depreciation. But since there will be a demand for these vehicles they may stablize a bit more as people won't be able to but new ones. So if you keep yours in great shape you may find a pretty good market out there for you!

 If anyone here can find a Crystal Ball, that'll give an accurate answer to the question posed: I need some help picking PowerBall numbers! :D
The market decides the pricing, and time will tell the tale! nojoke

Things with motors depreciate, some at a faster rate then others. After about 10/15 years they stabilize usually quite low. Once something is no longer available new from the dealer there is nothing to drive a customer towards it,except friends who may have one or sites like this or finances. If it is finances then they are usually looking at the best condition for the lowest price. Now that they are orphans don't expect your 998 to keep their value. If you have a model you really like ride it,get all the enjoyment out of it you can and count whatever you get for it when done as a serendipity.

I want to buy a 15 rss at a really bonfire sale

I hve has 2 08 sold with 76k on

09 fantom now just turned 72k bought in 2012 for 11500 with 3500 miles on it

I really dont want an f3 or an rt

just my preference

Six of one...half dozen of the other.

Pro: RS, RSS, and ST prices will most likely go down. Dealers will want to clean out the old discontinued stock. They don't make any money taking up floor space, and most left overs are under a floor plan payment system to the dealer. It costs money to keep old stock. Dump em and make some money while you can.

Con: IMO--those that are hoping the price will stay where it is or go up because they are now "collectors" items are probably in for a rude awakening.

Yes, they are fairly rare because of numbers sold--but--they only appeal to certain people. $7000 will buy a nice 2008 and I don't see them hitting $10K any time soon.

Hi pegasus1300,

^^^^^^^ This.

Those are my thoughts exactly.

I had a budget of $10k to buy a Spyder. I found a lo-mileage '08 & bought it.

My goal was to ride it for 6-7 yrs and be happy with it. I'm now 2+ yrs into that schedule.

Sadly

What I see happening is this....As brp gets rid of all it's inventory the prices will stay as they are for the most part. If they dump their inventories our resale will drop dramatically. Now the other things is as hard as it is to get parts for these machines imagine how your search will go once they stop replenishing their stocks and dealers stop stocking obsolete parts...:yikes: Your service will suffer the same fate...we may have to tap into our Italian friends for engine parts it is still a popular engine in the Aprilla line (140 HP):clap:I do have the ability to make the odd part and find matching parts from other machines but If I win this endurance race I will rebuild her without nannies and all the other parts and make it an old fashion motorcyle...by then I will be to old to do myself any harm....:roflblack::roflblack:

If you have one hang onto it, take care of it and enjoy it for it will always be the best one they made....:2thumbs:
