• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Possible new option for BRP???

And will it be able to exchange insurance information and call the Police when the inevitable parking lot incident occurs? :gaah: :roflblack: I think that 007 had this feature years' ago...

Not sure it that a April fools joke, so many factors for artificial intelligence. Unless you map the parking structure it would not know direction, reserved parking spots full signs etc. you would have to drive as far in as to get the ticket and meet it just before the booth.

i belive the technology is there to sense the road/path and the gaps in the parking bays to park, but too many variables to trust with out supervision.

Nice theory and proof of coconcept

Harry, Have you ever watched some of the morons that are driving around in parking lots? The vehicles themselves would probably be better off without most of them! :gaah: ;)

Military

This has been done for years with the military. I don't want to lose the joy of driving. Many passenger aircraft now have the flight pre programmed with the pilots there to monitor.
Even the Hudson River landing was a fly by wire event. Sully took the controls the last few seconds before the landing. There may be a day we cannot drive, but I hope it's not in my life time.

what happens when

what happens when an idiot darts in and steals the targeted parking spot at the last second? I can see how the Audi could lay on the horn and the audio system can start cussing, but what would replace the "universal one fingered salute" ??:joke:

Look close at the vid.

The spot where the car parks has been pre assigned for this type of car.

LOL The screen that pops out could have video of you cussing and giving him the finger !!!
You could pre-record little videos for all kinds of situations.
LOL If this were on a Spyder, the little safety card that pops out above the speedo could be replaced with a screen !!!

Nice feature..!!

but have to agree with not giving up control. Will work for some folks, sorry to say lazy and could use the excersize folks but the parallel parking keeps from holding up traffic. They don't even teach that anymore. Alas...there is always the bus..!!:roflblack: Oh and by the way, who pulls the parking stub to open the gate..??
