• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How many people would be interested in a tinted (dark smoke) RT windscreen? I am hoping to gauge the demand. I know at least one manufacture that can make a great product and I'm sure the Spyderlovers supporting vendors would be interested as well. I have read a couple of posts from members looking for one, so...

I like the looks of the tinted ones (Particularly if they give it a BLUE tint to match the bike!), but the Missus isn't sold on the idea so I've got a lot of negotiating to do! :gaah:

Only concern I have is riding at night with a tinted shield. I ride with goggles and have 2 pair, 1 for daytime and 1 for night. Daytime are light tint and make it difficult to see certain obstructions on the road:yikes:. Don't take this the wrong way. I think the idea of a tinted shield is a great idea. Maybe tint the bottom 2/3rd's any leave the top clear.:chat:.JMHO! great idea:thumbup:

No interest here. I feel that having a large, tinted windshield poses a safety issue. If you never, ever raise or look through the windshield or park in close quarters, it may be acceptable, but anything that reduces visibility after the sun starts to sink, is not for me. I can take my sunglasses off or switch from a tinted faceshield. I can't swap the windshield every day. Also keep in mind that there are regulations that govern the tinting of windshields, and that a fully tinted or too darkly tinted windshield may no be legal. A partially tinted shield, with a darkened bottom section, would be a different thing. I have no objection to those, but they are more cosmetic than functional.

Memphis Shades makes Graduated Tinted windshields in all colors, I had a Orange one on my VTX, don't know if they make them for Spyders though.:dontknow:
I would think if they did it would look and function great on a Spyder.
