Happened onto a great polish for the black areas of the black parts of the Spyder such as the lower panels and front spoiler on wife's '08 RS. Actually went to buy cleaner/polish I use on our bikes (Original Bike Spirits Spray Cleaner and Polish). We made our purchase and were getting ready to leave when the salesman came out to the bikes and suggested another product for the black on the Missus' Spyder. It's called High Gloss SC1 Clear Coat made by Maxima. After washing and drying the bike you spray this stuff on the parts to be shined, (or restored to black as my V-Star needed on the lower engine), let it absorb for 30 sec. then buff it with a clean cloth.
This stuff is great! Spyder black wasn't in too bad of shape but took on a great shine. My V-Star lower engine was showing pretty bad oxidation, turned to a shade of gray. Sprayed this stuff on, waited and buffed and the Star looks like new.
