• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Polarized lenses or not?

Another thread made me think of this tidbit of info regarding polarized lenses. How to tell if a pair of sunglasses are polarized or not.
If you have one pair of polarized sunglasses, you can test to see if any other pair of sunglasses are polarized or not.
Simply look through the pair of polarized lenses, then put the questionable pair in front of those and peer through both sets of lenses at the same time. Now turn the questionable pair 90 degrees. If the lenses turn dark, the questionable pair are in fact polarized as well. Jerry

You don't need another pair to test for polarization, just do the same with glare on a window, or looking at the blue sky. If the color changes or the glare goes away, they are polarized.
