• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lucky..!!

:agree: have not sat in one but not impressed. From the plans it seems to be well built for a car...what..?? :nopic:

We stopped in at Tousley Motorsports in White Bear Lake MN on Saturday. Salesman told us Slingshots will be arriving middle of October. He said they have already sold 9 units sight unseen. Think I want one also.

I was curious about the Slingshot, so I googled it and found a website Slingshotroadsters.com that is about the Polaris Slingshot. It looks like a fairly new website, but it already has some events listed for the Slingshot. I think there are some in Daytona and there is one in Maggie Valley, NC. I have seen allot of talk about the Slingshot, some for and some against. It seems similar to when the Spyder first came out. People said it wasn't a motorcycle, even though it was classified as a motorcycle. But the Spyder slowly gained popularity and filled a niche for people who couldn't ride 2 wheels for 1 reason or another, or who wanted something different. Look at the Spyder following today, and how much it has grown and how the Spyder has evolved. I think the Slingshot is maybe what the Spyder was when it first came out, something new that will find a place in the motorcycling world. Its not in competition with the Spyder, but like people who rode on just 2 wheels, and then bought a Spyder, might now add it to their stable. I guess only time will tell. Due to an injury I can no longer ride on 2 wheels, I now ride a Spyder . Due also to said I cannot use my left leg to shift or operate a clutch, so for now the Slingshot is not a choice. I am still going to check it out, and maybe they will do like Can Am did, and come out with a semi-automatic.

Pickelhead,
:agree: Whatever it is, or isn't; it sure looks as if it's a lot of fun!
(But I'm sticking with my Spyder!)

did it feel strange sitting that close to the ground?

I sit that low in my current ride. You are literally sitting in the bike, not on top of it. Its like being in a cockpit and is quite awesome. That was one part i thought I would not like, and it turned out being one of my favorite areas of the ride. You don't know until you try it, for sure.

I am also into the look and see. As low to the ground as it appears, I would be a bit on the fearful side with all the big SUV's and trucks here.

I am about 75% decided not--but that is today. :roflblack:

:D I wonder if you could ride (Drive?) one right underneath a trailer, that's being towed by a Semi? :dontknow:
Just like they do in the MOVIES!!

That is kind of what is scarring me off a bit. Enough clearance to get you into some serious trouble if things were to go bad.
