• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Plugging phone output into GPS jack

I removed my GPS and was wondering if I could plug my Phone output jack into the now open GPS 3.5 MM jack that connects to the communication module. I was thinking it may work like my GPS and interrupt the radio when it has sound output from either when it plays music or directions from the phone. Has anyone tried this?

Because of the way that input into the radio works. If you used your phone as a GPS. That should work very well for turn by turn directions and other notifications. If you wanted to use use your phone as a music player. That would not work very well. The radio discards one channel of the stereo and outputs only half the stereo out all speakers. Also there will be some minor clipping of audio when going from loud to silent to loud music. In that case it would be better to use the ipod port with the mp3 player cable.
