• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a :spyder2: 2012 RTS and I'm wanting to install a communication system. What I would like to be able to do is talk to my passenger, listen to my radio or Ipod on a head set. I would like to do it with a SENA. Can you help me with what all I need to buy and some tec help on how to install it all thanks.;)

We have the Sena SMH-10 comm units, and a Sena SM-10 Bluetooth "hub". MotorcycleDave on here (SL sponsor) has all the stuff you need to get you started.

Using the SM-10 hub, I am able to hook my Spyders stereo into that, so it transmits wirelessly to the comm units. I bought my SM-10 from Sena, and had to build my own cable to hook it to the bike, however, Dave may have that part worked out now. If not, and you are shy about building your own cables, you can buy the same setup from BRP. It will just cost more, but you will have the cables / connectors already provided, so it's just plug and play.

I am not a techy expert, but do use the Sena SMH10 as communicators. The unit does not have to be wired into the bike but works from helmet to helmet. We use ours for bike to bike communication.

The units install right into most any helmet. You pull the lining, place the earphones into the sculpted out places, install the sending units on the helmet shell with a turn of a screw. Your then pretty much set to go.

Motorcycle Dave--a sponser on the site sells the Sena units.

+1 on the SENA units. SMH-10's here use them for bike to bike and stream music from the smartphones(wife likes her own tunes). +1 on Motorcycle Dave:thumbup:
