• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Please help an idiot out

 Dude... your Boss's Spyder!

Just do you think that fixing the bike, "as cheap as possible"; is ever gonna work out the way that you hope it will?
It's your Boss: go "top shelf", on the repairs, and good luck!

I'm not sure any of them should be back on the road (OP, boss, boss' daughter) nojoke

With the problem he's having with the windscreen arm I have suggested he turn it 180' as that has often worked. Haven't heard if successful or not.

We haven't heard anything back from the O.P. in a while: I wonder how this is all turning out for him?
(Does he still have a JOB?? :yikes:)

I would have bet the farm that what I saw was impossible.
I'm not at all sure what you did to make that happen but it appears to have violated a couple of laws of physics

Me too!

Could both rider and passenger have contributed to the sharp left rear turns tip by leaning outward to their left side more than necessary?

Since the V.S.S, doesn't do much when you're in reverse: all that it took was a basic unfamiliarity with the bike... :banghead:

I tend to (respectfully) disagree. When we are in forward, as we turn, the mass of weight wants to keep us going straight but we have wheels on the outboard corners that keep us from tipping over. But, going in reverse, the mass is "balanced" on our single rear tire. That means turning even while at moderate speed, will throw the bike on its side as it tries to maintain a straight line. Add the idiot factor, a little bump, hill, speed, etc. and then a girl and you have, well..... the results are predictable. Just happy that nothing more serious didn't happen
