• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Teddy says, The search feature is our friend

Teddy had me type in 'plasti' into the search field and he found this list of threads that contain many suggestions and experiences with using Plasti-Dip on our Spyders :clap:
http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/search.php?searchid=2341808

We've even used it ourselves, like on our rims:

And our HandleBars:

And our Frunk & Lower Fascia:

And even our Camper to make it match Teds Red Sled:

But, with all that said, there are things to consider, like .......

It can be easily cut or scuffed, causing you to either remove it or go over it again. We removed it off our handle-bars cause with having 'armour/padding' in the sleeves of my ryding jacket, I'd get lazy from time to time & rest my elbow on the handle-bar while checking or changing something on the GPS & that ended up causing a small tare to form over about 3 months. It grew a little larger over time, to about an inch, & I finally removed it from the bars & will be redoing them here soon, but this time, we'll be using Spay-On Bed-Liner, cause that stuff is made to take the abuse. We also used the bed-liner on the foot-pegs & castings, as it holds up well, & if it does get a chip, all you need to do is give it a quick reshoot just over the chip and allow it to dry & cure & its as good as new. No worries or fuss about it matching, as it does every time.

We also removed the black plasti-dip from the fascia directly around the headlights, cause where the body panels on each side rubs up against it, it caused the plasti-dip to tare as well. So we wouldn't recommend it for anywhere there's going to be any type of contact or exteme temps. Rims are fine tho ;)

There's many on here that use this stuff, and if we can answer any particular questions, feel free to send us a pm & we'll get back to you as soon as Teddy allows me ................. :p

Or .................... you could just click on the link that I posted as it should take you to the very same place as your search would :shocked: But hey, if you like typing, by all means, enjoy .......................... :rolleyes::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Flamingobabe...I like the paint/wrap job on your bike. I have a Pearl White ST Ltd and want to paint or wrap it, but want to keep the white color primarily visible. It seems like you have done what I want to do. Can you post, PM, or provide a link to more pix of your bike? I'd love to see the full Spyder if possible. I'm not looking to steal your "look" but moreso trying to get an idea of what to do with mine. Question...is that Plasti Dip on rims? I know they came chrome, but looks like you either powdercoated them or plasti dip't them???

Thanks;
Tony
