• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

As I look through the boards and even my old pics there are always a few pics that jump out at me as being great. How about posting your favorite Spyder pic?
If you don't know how to post a pic this might help.

Not a great quality image (from my cell phone), but a great day ryding in the calm before a winter storm last week (Feb.2011): (best photo I could find on my machine here at work).

So where on the rock in NF? I spent a couple of months there in my motorcoach a couple of years ago. Awesome place!! Just going through my freezer this morning and found some great cod that we got there! Best I have ever had.

DaBusses: I'm in St. John's. Glad you enjoy the cod from here. I have a couple meals left from last fall my father caught for us. I cook a lot of different dishes with olive oil, but cod (if frying) is the one thing I usually use butter. I'm not an expert chief by any means, but this usually how I do fried cod:

- fresh vs. frozen - they have different textures, so I may use one beaten egg to help hold thawed and waterlogged fillets together.
- fresh is always best, but if frozen, drain the water and pat dry with paper towels (very important to pat and not compress)
- coat both sides with all-purpose flour and seasoning (sometimes I mix the seasoning with the flour, otherwise if heat is too high the seasoning can burn to the fillets in the pan)
- season with fresh ground pepper and fresh parsley (dried if I don't have fresh)
- heat frying pan to med-hi (7 on scale of 1-10) drop in a knob of butter and place in fillets 5-8mins each side (best to always sear the fish and turn heat down afterwards if required)
- I try and turn each fillet only once, which helps cod stay together. Unlike haddock too much movement of cod fillets can will break them up.
- When they are cooked I turn the heat down on low add some drops of fresh lemon and cover them for a couple mins.
- I serve with baked potato and a salad (with homemade balsamic vinegar dressing) or sometimes homemade sweet potato fries and coleslaw.

It's funny you mentioned cod, just last week I cooked up a meal for us and took a photo of the dinner to send to my father, letting him know the fish he gave us was awesome. See attached. Enjoy the rest of your cod!!

Didn't mean to hi-jack the thread with fish photos in my reply to Dabusses.... :opps:

My mouth is watering! My apologies also for the hyjacking. But my avatar is a picture of Disney's brand new cruise ship "The Dream" the day it arrived in Port Canaveral here in my back yard. It sits in the same body of water that NF is in! It's a "Small? world" after all.

this will always stick with me .... it was taken in front of a firehouse in haverhill mass by a buddy of mine in march 2008 on our way home from dealer in salisbury mass ... this was our maiden voyage....and the first time i had ever ridden a spyder .... it was a very cold march day ..... dee was a little on edge because it had been the first time since 1991 (when she was clinically dead in a bike accident that a drunk driver had hit her) that she was on any type of bike .... and she was happy to say that she felt comfortable on it ... and safe .... one year later she got her own ,,,,,
