• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pics of the DESS module in the 2014 & up RT

BLUEKNIGHT911

Sadly Passed Oct 2024 - RIP
If this info interests you, go to my Albums and click on the " Dess Module " pic #1 - is where my module lives now …...pic #2 - shows where the module is placed on the frame of the RT ….. when you click on the pic it gets enlarged and a written explanation appears ….. hope this helps everyone further understand the DESS module thing …. Mike :ohyea:

Thanks! Always wanting to learn more about my new (to me) ride. Just curious ... why did you move it?

Where is it on a F3L?

I think it is in the same place as the RT - however if you look at the parts fiche's at " cheapcycleparts.com " they show every place where it's used according to the model you enter …. when the screen shows you what part number …. enter the one for the DESS module ….. on the next screen on the right side it will say " where used " …. that screen shows every a Fiche for the model you chose …. cheap cycyle parts using #1150 on every fiche ….. Mike :ohyea:

If you saw the pic of where my module is now ….. I could change it in about 10 min., as opposed to 1 1/2hr that a dealer will charge you for doing it …… Mike :ohyea:

Thanks, Mike, but I have the B.E.S.T. warranty and they replaced it in 45 minutes for the $50 deductible.

When I had my DESS module replaced twice both times UNDER WARRANTY they changed it in 1 hour.
