• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Friend of mine showed up for our arrival. Yes he can still get in to his fatigues

Wayne County Sheriffs helicopter, Black Bird, met us at the county line for air support. Another friend is piloting, Told the old fart he needs to give it up. He's a Nam vet as well.

Return trip. Durham County mounted deputies. They escorted us from the state line to our first stop coming back.

Early foggy morning meet up. Coffee and bisquits before the first leg. Some of the Brotherhood.

A few of the bikes at one of the stops on the return trip. We used this stop twice, don't you know they made some money :2thumbs:

I rode as passenger with Bruiser as I knew there would be a lot of bikes. The last count for this ride was over 500. It was an honor and also a very humbling experience to see people on the overpasses, waving to us as we went underneath, along with the volunteer firefighters displaying flags. Over 10,000 people came out to watch us ride by, escorting the Wall That Heals, holding signs with the names of their loved ones who never came home. For Bruiser and all other Viet Nam vets, "WELCOME HOME"!

Great Pictures. Great to hear about all that did the escort. Did the Wall Escort last year, or the year before. It is very emotional, at least for me it was. H3ll all rides for veterans are emotional.

As most of the PGR member on here can tell. Escorting events can the most rewarding, but sad events of your life. I have done more then one Wall escort and several 911 escorts. There is a reason for the dark glasses at the Funerals. Do you know if the pic of the LEO bike are part of a salute or not ? I have heard, but not seen, like a Missing Man formation. Oldmanzues
