• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Picking Up the spyder today, YAY

Finally The spyder is ready, new shocks all around, One-Off made by Tractive Suspension, they are "Guru's", at making shocks, they provided me with the first set ever, from their production facility, I only saw the dyno on paper, but it sure looks promising, toady, I am gonna rack some miles on the machine, Rear shock Hi/lo, Rebound and preload adjuster, front shocks hi/lo and rebound adjustable, I will share some pics, and review, after the ride home.

They have vendors all over the world, so if you are in the market for new shocks, look at their site for more info.
Sounds like a commercial, but wanted to bring these, under your attention

Enjoy the ridingseason:yes:

Keep Us Updated

:coffee: Another great idea for our Spyders.
Do your own testing and give us your thoughts.
We all need to help one another.
Shocks are big issue and a big cost factor. ......

Am taking baby steps on these, it's going to take alotta tweaking, but for the first miles, I say WOW, unbelievable, what a difference a good shock absorber makes, with the prelimenay settings provided by Tractive.
Me personal thoughts are, a wee bit stiffer on the front end, and the rear, may even be a bit looser, I am not a shock techie, but steering response, is just off the charts, with the old rear shock, the spyder pulled into the spring,
and with the new one, there seems to be no lag, just smooth powerdelivery to the wheel (now I know what, you tyreguys mean by crappy kenda's:) )Spyder F3s Tractive Shocks (2).jpgSpyder F3s Tractive Shocks (1).jpgSpyder F3s Tractive Shocks (8).jpg

Sure as hell, don't know how to rotate these pics..

Open in photo-shop or similar, rotate from how they appear in your post above to desired orientation, then save with a new file name - load the new files (preferably thru 'Manage Attachments' ;) ) & submit/save. Pics rotated & displaying in the correct orientation - if you got the direction of turn right!!

OR, work out what corner of the pic your camera or phone uses as the anchor point, then rotate your camera/phone so that the anchor point corner is on the TOP LEFT. For most Smartphones, that'll be rotating it from the upright/Portrait position into Landscape mode by twisting it 90° COUNTER-CLOCKWISE - ie, drop the top to your LEFT as you are looking at the portrait camera. Doing that'll bring the pic's anchor point into the top left corner for most, & all other things (like size & shape) being OK, wiĺl enable the correct display orientation of your uploaded pics here!

PHEW! I think I got all of that! :agree: with Piratezz. I'm not the best at posting these pics either.
Thanks, Peter.

Took the spyder out yesterday, tweaked the new shockers, and am still quite amazed, off what a difference they make, while driving, I thought that the front fox dampeners were quite good, but these are in a whole different ballpark.
Steering is improved, by a factor 10, rear smoothness is also improved by a factor 10, My smiles per mile, are up from big, to like ear to ear....

I think you understand by now, that I am a Happy Camper, with the upgraded Toy....

Today the Missus, and me took the spyder for a 150 km roundtrip, so we could dial in the preload (hydraulic adjuster), in the rear, took some effort, to find the right setting, but now we can hit a speedbump, over 65 km/h, and still have a safe feeling, all the wheels stay on the ground, and the shocks do not bottom out, and still the ride is comfortable.
Much better as with the stock shocks, I said it earlier, now the smiles per mile, are even better
