Hi All, I am picking up my new 2021 RT S2S this week Thursday at the dealer and have read here on this forum I should ask to have BUDS plugged in to ensure latest updates have been done but I have no idea what I am looking for and need some help. Should I be looking at the BUDS unit to see if it is saying "new update available" or looking for a particular version code or ?? Would appreciate any help! Thanks in advance!

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It depends on how much you trust the dealership. As part of the set up the technician assembling the Spyder should connect it to B.U.D.S. to make certain everything is up tp date. Perhaps a new S2S owner will chime in here with the current software version and then you can ask the dealership what it is after the set up is complete but before you roll out of the dealership. Obviously, if it isn't the latest version simply tell them to finish the job.
