There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Passenger Armrests

I saw somewhere that a company was working on passenger armrests. What's the estimated completion date? Additionally, how will they function in regards to ride/passenger mounting...swing up, swing out?

Any information from whoever was working this is greatly appreciated.

Corbin Saddles is the company. The armrests are still in r&d. If you are truly interested, give them a call, wonderful customer service.

The other Scotty

ISCI has them on the market for the RS. Not sure about the RT. The armrest part flips up out of the way to let passenger mount .

ISCI is working on the RT passenger arm rests. I called them last week and they are in the process.

In that regard a lady was killed over in this area (New Smyrna, Fla.), on the back of a trike just yesterday. It seems that the rider swerved to miss a construction cone and threw her off.

This has been a concern of mine with the spyder. It seems that it does require a great deal of "rider participation". I would think that arm rests would greatly assist in this "apparent" problem.

I for one will be looking to see if there is any after market arm rests that would assist in "keeping the passenger in". I'd sure appreciate it if someone would keep us posted.

I did not know of that incident when I asked this question, but this was the reason I was interested in these. I am hoping for a design that swings up to facilitate getting on/off the bike not swing out like some of the wing versions I have seen.

We will in fact have armrest for the 2010 RT. Can not give you a date at this point.

I'll certainly be looking forward to seeing it. I've got grandkids sittin behind me at times and then there is the head of the household. I'd like to know that both catagories would have something other than those hand grips to keep em in. Admittedly I could slow down, but it's those things that you don't anticipate that I worry about.

After looking at this in more deatal we will not be offering armrest for the RT. We do offer them for the RS.

:yikes::sour:

Thanks for getting back to us. Sorry to hear of course. I am certain there is a good reason and it is a good decision...:2thumbs:

I heard that Corbin was looking into producing some, but maybe they are running into problems as well. :dontknow:

After the third brake light, my wife wants arm rests..... one way or another. So I guess I'll have to build something myself. It sure is going to look ugly though.

Corbin needed a test bed...

Just left my RT at Corbin so they can finish the armrest R&D. They just didn't have a stock bike available to finish the work. I pick up the bike in a few weeks so you can pretty much figure they should be available thereabouts.

When you have these installed, would you please post some pics on this site? I'm still very interested in having these. Please please please?

Have you looked at the Passenger Armrests that attach to the passenger handrails. You might want to visit the Diamond R Accessories website for a look.
