• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I was invited to ride my spyder in a fourth of July parade. I'm not sure how long it is, maybe a few miles. I'm in central New Jersey where it can be quite hot in July. So my question is should I accept the offer or will it over heat? I've read a few threads about the spyder running hot so I'm a little concerned. Thanks John

i got stuck at a toll booth in portsmith nh last july it was 90 degrees for over an hour ... the bike did fine ... i on the other hand was cooked...:coffee:

Have riden my in the Veterans Day Parade on Pensacola Beach Spyder did great -- the Harley Riders were jealous - they had to try and balance at slow speed I just rode. Temp was 85 degrees no overheating issues.:ohyea:

Just pretend you are on any other motorcycle that does not have a temp guage and don't worry about it. Every bike I have owned probably got hot in stop and go conditions, but since I wasn't constantly reminded about it, it wasn't an issue.

It should be fine just make sure the fan is functioning properly as it will cut on at about 6 bars to try to keep it cool. I rode last summer in bumber to bumber traffic for about an hour when it was 105 outside with no problems never got above 15mph.
