If I can nail my son down for a lesson on posting some pics, I'll take a few of the floor-boards and the right side fairing that's replacing the factory one. The boards are finished, as are the re-located brake and shifter, but the fairing is in as-cast, as-bondo'd condition, but otherwise finished as to final form.
And, BTW, it's working far beyond my expectations. I was worried about hot running, since I've been riding without that fairing in place for over a year, now, but, a nice, long 130 mile ride, yesterday, (two-up) left me with a big grin on my face and a good feeling of relief. I had used the original as a basis for forming the general shape in fiber glass, wrapped in food wrap for a form, then added to it, to fill in to compensate for moving the rear of the thing outboard to clear my floor-board. Resulted in the outlet being at least double in air volumn/capacity, and I changed the two inlets in front to direct air into the radiator, instead of by-passing it, like the factory one. So----- as of yesterday, I found that I could put my hand down there outside the air outlet, going downhill at as low as 20 mph and feel the affect of air rushing through the rad. Best indicator was the temp gauge. With ambients around 75-80 F, I've dropped at least one, maybe two, bars of temp, showing on the gauge. Rode most of the time with only two bars showing, and got up to four, while idling at stop-lights, or slow-poking on city streets. Soon as I hit 5th, and got back up to 50, she dropped back to two bars. Interesting, that we rode up through Smuggler's Notch, and were in 1st and 2nd, in steep going for quite a while (temps down to 68), and the gauge only went up to four bars.
Looks like I might have blundered onto something, this time!

Ain't a-goin tuh mess with it no more, me says.
Oh, BTW, you know that fried ankle and foot, going on around your loafers? Gone!

Later,
