• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

P16C5 Code problem

the code says ECM module report. go to the android or apple store and look for the spyder codes app. it is free and very well done by one of our members. it answers most questions you will have. it can be downloaded for the pc or phone

This is all the manual says:

P16C5
ECM
Safety fuel cut-off activated monitoring check level 1
Monitoring plausibility check failed.

Check for ECM fault.

I did not think the Spyder had a Safety fuel shut off system, unless it is built into the ECM somehow. The first thing I would check is if the fuel pump fuse is OK. Then does the fuel pump run? After you turn the key on you should be able to hear the fuel pump run for a couple seconds.

These are guesses so good luck.

PS your manual on page 147 says the fuel pump is fuse 12.

P16C5 Code problem.....Follow-up

Took my spyder to Jon at Proshop in Henderson, NV and he said the problem when you are throwing multiply codes could be loose battery connections. Sure enough that was all it was. Great guy and good mechanic with 20 years experience. Thanks Ann.

Yup, the guys at Henderson are great!
