This is for people that know the area. Does this area have little hills/bank that I could back my truck up to, so I can get my Spyder off the back of my truck ?????? A local dealer that has a ramp would also work for me.

I've been there several times, but rode in; however, I seem to remember that the Wheels Through Time MC museum has a ramp. Call them to confirm @ (828) 926-6266

BTW, the museum is a must see. ...Don

Personally, I'm more concerned about close spaced repeated hills/dips. that kind of rollercoaster up and down gets to me quickly.

They also have some really steep ones. I think they are called mountains. Pull the truck up one, open the tailgate or ramp, release the tie-downs, and the Spyder is sure to come out. :joke:

I have a tri-fold ramp.

You could use it I reckon and unload it at my place (hills). Then if you can handle it, its like a 3hr ride to Maggie Valley

Thanks Tito, I also have a tri-fold ramp, but the incline off my truck is to steep and will drag the nose of my Spyder. Maybe I'll fool with it a little and try to attach some 2x8's or something to cut down the pitch enough to get it off. I'm sure I'll be able to find a place with a slight incline to get it done along with my ramp.

Getting it done without being arrested for tresspassing will be a different story. :roflblack:

If all you need is a few inches, almost everyplace has a parking lot with a curb and a wide patch of lawn or sidewalk. Unload with the ends of the ramps on the curb, then pull the truck aside, put the ramps on the curb, and move the Spyder to the pavement.

Maybe I'll fool with it a little and try to attach some 2x8's or something to cut down the pitch enough to get it off. If you have the ramps I have a bank where the pool was that will work. I use it to load and unload dirtbikes.

I called Wheels Through Time and they DO NOT have a dock/ramp per se. They do, however, have an inclined place on their lot where you can conveniently use your ramps to offload. This is where they offload their cycles. They said there is no problem with you or other members using this spot.

Glad to help. Everyone who attends will enjoy the area. The obvious draw is the BRP - Blue Ridge Parkway. Cherokee is also close as well as several side routes off the parkway. Let me search my memory bank and I will recommend some greast places to eat. ...Don
