• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

YIRYDE

Just received my new Timeless Black 2014 RTS a couple of days ago from Motorsports Inc. in Hanover Pa. I received a great deal from Tammy Bankert compared to the other dealers that are within a 200 mile radius from me, Ryan Bortner went over the new Spyder in detail with me. The overall buying experience was outstanding. If your looking for a 2014 give them a call http://www.motosportsinc.com/.

I had them install the 12volt outlet in the Frunk, and the Triaxis Handlebars. I didn't even take it on a test ride, just loaded it on the trailer for the 110 mile trip back home. When I got home I took it out for about a 10 minute ride and was looking forward to the next day.

The following morning meet with Spyder Rider America Old Dominion chapter for brunch, meet and greet. The 2014 rode very smooth, I like the extra torque and power since I do a lot of two up riding and it's quiet. The stock speakers sound much better than my stock 2011, I may not upgrade them with the Polks that I removed from the 2011. The Triaxis handle bars made the ride very comfortable once you get them adjusted properly. I noticed the vibrations around 70 MPH and will be looking at a belt tensioner to resolve this issue. The brakes are awesome, it took me a few times to get use to how great and quickly they will stop the Spyder. This was a 311 mile day of riding and I'm looking forward to many more miles of happy riding.

Now let the Farkling Begin

Congrats Parrish. I know of what you speak about the 14 RT...it's amazing. Sorry we got separated on the ryde last Saturday. Wanted to pick your brain about your ryde along the coast of Maine on the way to SpyderQuest in Sept. Good seeing you and your lovely bride at the brunch. Take care my friend...you guys enjoy that new toy. You really need to re-think trailering it to SpyderFest and join up with Pierre's convoy in Staunton.

What Trailer??

What brand/model is the trailer? I am looking to buy a trailer and that is easy to load and good for long distance hauling.

Thanks

Congrats......I'm chomping on the bit waiting. Warmer weather starting Friday here. Chomp.....Chomp.......

Do the early BRP LED head lights fit in the 2014?

The Tech where I brought my Spyder from says they will fit but I will have to find a location to mount the ballast. The ballast mounted to the radiator on my 2011 but since the radiators have been moved forward they will not fit on the 2014. I will post more information when I get them installed.

The New Ride

Congrats Parrish-
Great to see you and your lovely wife. You should have tagged along on our "Nickel and Dime" Ride (okay, we only rode the Dime, but had a great BBQ meal). Look forward to seeing you in Missouri. I picked up my trailer yesterday. Perhaps we will meet on the road to Spyderfest. I have booked a hotel for SpyderQuest, so you, John and I need to talk about heading north.
