Our little Spyder adventure...

The wife and I have ridden scooters since 2008 and now we have our Spyder. We still have 1 scooter, they're just too much fun to not have one. Anyway, each year we try to do some sort of riding adventure and for 2013, we are touring our state on a scavenger hunt of sorts. We're out to visit a number of places, locate certain items and take pictures doing odd activities. If any of you out there are looking for something fun to do this riding season, this may give you some ideas.

We wanted to find an old gas station with the price of gas below $2 per gallon...

And here is what we did previous years...

2012 was a transition from full time RVing to living in a house, so no easily identifiable adventure...
- we did do a lot of riding and took a lot of random pictures.
2011 - A Tour of the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas
2010 - A Ride up the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive
2009 - A Ride on the Gulf Islands National Seashore
2008 - A Ride to All 67 Counties in Alabama

You must get some funny looks when you are on a carnival ride in full riding gear now add to that the novelty of a Spyder and you are sure to turn some heads. Have fun this summer.

We are very casual geocachers. We don't like to traipse off into the woods looking for them, but we will go after the ones that are relatively easy to find. I don't walk very well so searching for the caches that are in rough terrain is a no-go for me. We also like to look for Munzees, which are like geocaches without a container. They are almost always in easy to get to locations. The downside to Munzees is that there aren't as many, yet. Check out Munzee.com if you are interested in them.
