There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Our 2010 RT

Our 2010 RT SM5 turned 52,000 miles last Thursday. Saturday I had a Kumho installed after 16,000 miles on the one before. Checked the brakes. The rear brakes (original) were less than or about half worn. Front brakes (original), about the same. This Spyder has just been awesome for us. Total mileage for this Spyder and the 2008 SE5 before (43,000 miles), is 95,000 miles. Never have had any disabling issues. We just ride more and worry less. If something happens it just will and we will cross that bridge when we get there.

That is great. I'm surprised that you haven't had to replace the rear brake pads. Do yours still squeal? That was a big issue on the 2010 RTs.

If the brakes didn't squeal, I'd probably think they weren't working! It's an issue to some, but to me it's all good.

:congrats: Dudley, ....sounds like you both got a good one..... Ryde on .....here's to many more happy miles.....

The 2010 I had was a great ride! Never had a problem and when I traded a few weeks ago for a '14 I actually missed it and I couldn't wait for the dealer to sell it so I wouldn't have to see it when I would drop in on them. Mine had No brake squeal or anything else. I think there was more issues with the '11's with Throttle bodies and such. I rode mine across country and covered 13 or 14 states in one trip and would do it again with no worries. Why did I trade up? It's simple, for the type riding I do loaded and pulling the 622 on trips, the 1330 6 speed just makes a lot of sense to me. Anyway, the Blue 2010 (with GT racing stripes) is a great catch for the new owners.

:congrats: Dudley. Similar experience with mine. Had it for 36,500 trouble free miles. I had a hard decision to make as to keeping it or trading off for the 2014. I never replaced any brakes on mine either.

Someone in Fairbanks AK now has a really nice 2010.

Based on observations

many others could make similar posts. It always seems strange to me there seems to be a stronger urge to post problems than to post good news. Perhaps it just proves the adage "Misery loves company". In any event, it is indeed great to read someone is happy. I only have about 10K on Spyders, but all have been trouble free.

Good News

It is great to hear about your trouble free miles on your RT. :congrats: to you. So many problem after problems being posted kinda makes me wonder sometimes, did i make the right choice to buy the :f_spider: or not. Just glad to hear some wonderful mile/service experiences with the :spyder2:. I'm not saying stop reporting the problems, cause we need to know what's going on with these machines for fellow Spyridians but it's just good to hear some good news too.:ohyea:

 As good as my 2014 is; I still miss my 2010...
I'm comforted by the fact that it has found a good, new home...

I will add to the "Happy Riders", about 16k on the 08GS/RS with no real problems except for the riding position for my old body. A little over 25 K on my 2010 RT, again no real problems. Most of the miles were in the first couple years, age/physical ability getting to me now. Without a Spyder, I would be unable to ride at all. Tried riding a convential trike a while ago, in a parking lot. I thanked the owner, let him ride the spyder, which he liked and I waited for the Spyder to come back.
Happy and safe riding to all riders on whatever brands.
