• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Got almost 6000 miles miles on rear tire

with 3/32left on tread on original tire

Should I change now or keep riding

As the tread wears down; the chances of losing traction starts to go up exponentially... :yikes:
I'm all for safety, and I'd change it.

Depends..!

14's had a batch of softer compound tires which did not last long. They later changed to the original compound and these get much better mileage, if anyone would try them. If you were to go to the oem just make sure the are pre 14...late 14/15...

I got 8k miles and changed them at spydxrquest. New tire should get 10k Don't take chances on tires,

Replace when they get worn down. Early 2014's had a special softer rubber compound that wore down faster than prior versions.

4K to 6K was common for a lot of those posting. I got 8,900 out of my first rear tire on the 2014. I am at 20,000 miles (11,100) on the new one and think I will get another 3K or so before a change is done.

All prior :spyder2::ani29: were in the 13K to 15K range for me. I am talking OEM Kenda's here.

I am a new spyder owner. Just over 1000 miles. Do most people go back to dealer for tires or any motorcycle shop?
