• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Aaaaand decides she's going to shred her belt. :banghead: Honestly, I think I felt it coming, but didn't recognize it. A subtle miss, a tap that felt like someone tapping on my leg... On the way home from the dealer after getting valve cover gasket replaced, she blew her belt. I limped home and now have a NEW project for this week. At least when I sell her, she will have new gasket, new front rotors and brake pads, and a new belt. Someone is going to be very lucky when they buy this used Spyder. :spyder2:

However, it also feels like the universe is confirming my purchase of my new Spydie! I. Can't. Wait.

Ouch..!!

Did you mention to her you were getting the F3...:lecturef_smilie: and they say they don't have feelings...:roflblack::roflblack: your right about the next owner who will be taking advantage of all the new stuff....lucky them...congrats on the new ryde...:2thumbs:

it is always like that, good service for years, and then you decide it's time for a new one, and the older one decides it's time to get revenge

Haha! She was there when I ordered the new one. I didn't think she heard, but you know how sneaky they are! :hun: Actually I'm glad this happened before I sold it - I really don't want the next person to have to deal with this stuff right after purchase. And, I get to learn how to replace the belt before she goes. A parting gift...:gaah:

Other rubber?

Speaking of which - since I had a valve cover gasket and a drive belt self destruct, I'm going to assume that the rubber bits on my GS are compromised. What else should I check for wear that may be an issue. Tires are good :). Thanks!

I had issues with the vacuum lines related to the emissions system (or exhaust lines or... whatever they're called) on the RT getting brittle. That was one of my "check engine" light issues. May want to check those.

Thanks Vondalyn! - I'll check all hoses that I can see/get to. Looking forward to a visit soon!
