My wife and I hare biking from Las Vegas to Cape Canaveral where we will pick up a cruise boat for a 7 night cruise south. Been on the road for 8 days and the RT's have been behaving quite well. At least until yesterday when my bike flashed the orange screen of misery. While I did not throw a code, a got a message that there was a parking break fault. The parking brake failed to engage while stopping at a filling station. I talked to Cpt. Jam on Spyderlovers and got the lowdown that the parking brake cable probably came off the front pulley. he gave me explicit directions on how to fix it. But, given the rainy cold weather I was in no mood to undertake the repair.
I contacted Gulf Shores Powersports in Gulf Shores AL and they said to bring the bike in first thing in the mormong. I did. They were courteous; listened to my plight; and got to work. In an hour everything was right again. They are quite a large powersports retailer; but took the time to help when it would have been simple to say they were too busy and dismiss me since I am not likely a long term customer. I would if I could be their long term customer since these guys provided first class service.:yes::clap:
