• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What....

I'm assuming the old ones are not heated...looks like you already know several methods for removal. Would depend on if you want to keep them or not. I have found the air nozzel worked around the end between the grip and the bar has worked the best. Saves the old grip and less messy or damaging.

As for heated grips...:dontknow: I have never found use for them or heated seats. Seems those parts on my body are not the ones getting cold. Heated gear works best with dual contol to give more heat to the hands (for those on all models with hands in the open) JMO from my experience....

Heated grips at one of the very first additions I made to my bikes for many years. I know, I know.... I live in sunny Arid-Zone-A. Well it does get chilly here on winter mornings and warm grips are a big plus. Contrary to popular belief, we do have mountain and even trees here. Riding in sup freezing weather with cold hands is not good. And, I refuse to wear the big bulky gloves that don't allow me to feel the button controls. As for other heated cloths....that's why they make goose down jackets..... Good luck on your conversion. Go for it.

If you are trying to ADD heated grips, get the ones from BRP. On the throttle side, removal and installation of aftermarket heated grips will lead to failure of the throttle twist and return mechanism.

The BRP ones replace the whole grip assembly including the throttle.
