• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a spyder f3, 2015.This morning, I accidentally dropped my key in the trunk and closed the lid. Does anyone know of a way to pop the latch or to get a shell key to pop the latch.

Any help is appreciated!

Coat Hanger

Someone else posted this trick in the past. The cable that runs from the key to the frunk is located on the right side. Lift the black piece of tupperware just above the frunk a little bit and you will see the cable.

How to open:
1. Put a hook at the end of the coat hanger.
2. Hook the cable and pull on it towards you until the frunk opens

I know this works because I have accidentally done the same thing:banghead:

Other option - use the spare key.

Cheap Spare Key

To get a cheap key(NonChipped) find a locksmith that carries an Ilco Key #270 blank, about $5. I had two made carry one in my wallet and he wife has the other one. Cheap insurance.

^^ Might be the best idea yet, but surely, in order for this to help the OP, he'd need to have a working key on hand to get something that'd help him cut to fit?! And if he had a working key like that on hand, then he wouldn't need help to get his 'other' key outta the trunk now would he?!? :gaah::banghead:

So maybe, just maybe.... the coat hanger/cable tip (which does work btw) might be the best bet for the OP right now! Then, once he's got that working key back in his hand rather than locked in the trunk, he can think about getting an un-chipped blank cut for future incidents.
