Well finally had time to post this :dontknow: be sure you keep an eye out for those road gaitor's heading home last Friday down I-25 from Denver to Castle Rock. In the fast lane the person in front of me hit one of those pieces of old tire it went right under my Spyder but caught the muffler right at the joint and pulled it apart. Scared the tar out of me.... :gaah: Watch out they don't get you. ride safe best of all enjoy the ride. :yes::yes: jtpollock

I had that happen to me a couple days before swapping from OLD to NEW. I saw a small 'gator ahead on the freeway and was going to miss it just fine, but a pickup truck changing lanes struck it and sent it spinning right under me. As I bounced over it, it ripped one of those black air-deflectors right off. The next day I found it and retrieved it, but it was badly scarred so I let my comprehensive insurance replace it for the dealer.

Those things are quite a hazard for light vehicles like ours, and especially for two-wheelers!

:agree: They won't knock us over, but I'd hate to get one caught in a wheel! :yikes:
