• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Can you see the front drive sprocket on a 2021.5 lates with out taking off a panel to see if its the new white drive sprocket and read the part number?

Jim

No. I'd also suggest you edit all of the "2021+" notes moving forward. If you're referring to the current generation RT, "2020+" would be appropriate. If you're referring to 2021.5 builds, they're called "lates". Just a thought, not a diss.

To some it may not be a big deal, but I’m going to trade my 2018 RTL for a new 2021.5 late RTL. Dealers don’t seem to know what I’m talking about and sales people for sure don’t. To me it should be simple to know if I’m getting one with the upgraded front sprocket. To me its a simple question but I can’t get a simple answer.

You (or the dealer) will need to remove (4) pieces of tupperware on the left side of the bike in order to see the front pulley. Could be the dealer will do that for you but I doubt it.

Can you peak in some where to see if the front drive sprocket is white with out taking 4 panels off. Seeing the color should verify if it is the new sprocket I think.
Jim

You can see it from under the bike, Just had mine replaced on my 2020 because of a noise I was hearing. Can't read the part # but you can see the color. I changed my oil and while I was doing that I looked up to see if the dealer really did change the sprocket. He did.

So what color is it?

I ordered a 2021RT LDT ? So I should get the new front drive sprocket. That fixed my problem

There are early 2021s and late 2021s. The earlys didn't have the updated front pulley. The lates did. Honestly, sir. I think you're getting way to worked up about the upgraded pulley. It's not a safety concern. All the upgraded pulley does is decrease or eliminate a possible whine only some hear between 45-55mph. If you're that concerned about it, tell the dealer the only way you'll buy is if they can either show you the new bike has the upgraded pulley or will swap the older pulley out for the upgraded unit at no cost. If they won't do either, walk away. There are other bikes out there.
