• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A couple of years ago I did a boundary ride of Washington State on my 2008 FJR1300. http://www.skitsap.wednet.edu/Page/5954 (I'm thinking my next one should be on a Spyder!) One place I stayed was in Clallam Bay http://www.clallambay.net/available.html and I really liked it. When I travel by myself I like clean and inexpensive. I spend more when my wife travels with me but I was going solo on this trip. The fella that ran the place was very nice and it was good place for me.

I'd come out of Gig Harbor, made a mandatory stop at Jeremiah's BBQ in Sequim http://jeremiahsbbq.com/ and then went right down next to the Strait just after Port Angeles. From there I went on into Clallam Bay. The next day I went to Neah Bay and had the best smoked salmon I'd ever had. True, I went along the coast on to Tokeland and didn't turn in at say, Aberdeen, but the trip on through Hoodsport would be awesome. I know because I've driven it many times going to the beach.

What I can tell you is that in the summer it's a motorcycle rider's dream. The scenery is a 10 and the temps are perfect if you're someone who likes to ride and wear protective gear.

Oh, you might cosider getting Bruce Hansen's Motorcycle Journey's Through the Pacific Northwest. It's a big help.

Let me know how your trip goes. I'm really thinking I need to do a Pacific Northwest Boundary Ride next time and do it on a Spyder. Washington, Oregon, Idaho and back home. I'm startin' to get the itch!
