• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Old Vs New 622 Trailers

A quick question...as you guys have experienced all the year model trailers, is there any difference from the very first 622 trailers and the current models, in so far as design, improvements, different suspension, different size wheels, storage capacity, electrics, etc, etc. We have limited knowledge here in Australia as we cannot get them here and Mr Google isn't offering any insight to my question.

Cheers

Mike

The very first ones from 2010 (I think!) had some differences in how the lights were configured... They might have had separate brake and turnsignals, or there might even have been some back-up lights... :dontknow:
They've also gone through a whole bunch of wiring configurations... The only person in here who seemed capable of staying current on them, was Scotty...
He's A.W.O.L. right now...
Sorry that I couldn't help any more. :opps:

The only difference I know about is the plug for the lights, the 2010 had a round 7 pin plug (IIRC) and newer ones have a square 4 pin plug. There was service bulletin on drip catch for the early ones... when you opened the back lid and it was wet it would send all that water into the trailer. The drip catch was added to channel the water out of the trailer.

I have a Premier Edition 2010 trailer, but I can't compare it to the later ones because I haven't had one. My brother had to trace the wiring so he could change the connector to match the 2013 hitch I bought.

Capacity, of course is the same - 622 liters. As far as I know, nothing else has changed over the various models.

The drip catch and lighting (and related wiring) are the biggest changes. The older trailers had a big 9 pin round plug and the outer light lenses had spots for amber turn signals and also had a clear spot in the lens for reverse but ours had an amber bulb in that location and all the ambers were wired as blink. I modified ours so I have real reverse lights, amber blinker and of course running and brake.

The newer ones have the outer lenses that look similar, but no longer come with the amber bulbs and no holes even for them. Wiring has been cut down to 4 wires and the brake and blinker are integrated.

That is my experience thus far anyway.
