• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I brought my 2014 STS that will now run for a bit .... then it will shut down ... to the dealer.
I told them it is under warrantee. They already charged me for 2 hours diagnostic and they haven't found the problem. They already tried to blame me for some led lights I had installed professionally at a Lake George NY rally.....way in the summer.
They said something about, we will see what the problem is... then get to BRP... and you will pay the deductible?????

Well I am going to call BRP and see what's up. But it seems to me that they are telling me the warrantee will cover parts.... and nothing else?
Anyone have some info on that?

Joe

I'm assuming you are still within the 2 year standard warranty period, and not into the BEST warranty. Unless they can prove any extra lights that were installed caused the problem, the warranty covers diagnostics and parts. If they can prove the extra lights are the cause of your problem, you are out for the diagnostics and the parts.

If you are under the extended warranty you pay a $50 deductible on covered items. It is pretty typical of dealers to blame after market add ons for causing any trouble you may have but like Wylie said they have to prove that it was the cause of your problem.

As I see it...

They do like to start by blaming any work not done by them or parts not oem, as a start. Additional lighting has not, to my knowledge, cause the roadsters to shut down but more give you warning lights, codes, and limp home flashes. The simple solution would be to disconnect them and see if it is the problem. That part would be on you not being oem. Your going in the right direction getting in touch with BRP and starting a case...:dontknow:
