OK - Another brake code! C0040!

2016 RTS. This one detects a blown bulb; switch failure. Started last weekend, just popped and came up every few miles. Bulbs are OK, so assume it is the switch assembly. Ordered one ($15 or so), its a simple Cherry switch with the harness attached. Then remembered the bike is under warranty, but we all know how long (weeks!!) that can take. I gently pressed the pedal many times until the lights came on, and I think once they didn't but I'm not positive. Searching for this code I found zippy. Just curious if anyone else had it and it was the switch? Hard to replace?

With BRPs Can Bus those switches could be Hall Effect switches. They look like cherry switches, but they are not. Bruce

Is it clean around the switch? Crud can keep it from working properly.
