• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OJ buys a new rear tire!

:congrats: I can't wait to see your reports on it's performance!

Question: How effective do you think it'll be at shedding water from the tread? I'm certainly no expert, and I'm curious about your thoughts...

OJ is going to have fun....😆

Congrats...nice looking tire and we will all be waiting to see how it performs for you...

KUMHO

SINCE THE KUMHO AST IS GETTING LESS n LESS AVAILABLE, THIS JUST MAY BE MY NEXT REAR TIRE....
i love the looks of it, and the treat pattern is a sure bet to disperse water and limit the possibilities of 'hydro-planing'....

let me ask: WHAT IS THE SIZE that you ordered, & what is the mileage rated at...?

Is what I went with. Maybe I shoulda got a couple as they're being discontinued in favour of the t1s.
8100 odd miles and the OEM is down to the wear bars and the legal minimum here is 2mm.

Aaaaawww you guys on the other side of the pond get all the good tires. :banghead::banghead:

Not those on the western side of the pond, Billy ;) The further you get from Europe, the less choice......although Brittain is indeed moving further from Europe, even as we speak ! :)

According to Toyo.ca that tire does not exsist. That thread pattern does not appear on any available in Canada tire. The closest we can get is a Toyo Proxes R1R.

I think the only size of that tire that will work for the rear of a Spyder is a 195/55 R15. I won't even try to price one.

Love the look but will it be that thin in the rim? Pics please...

This has done 7500Kls I have been using these for several years as I had them on my RS,
Toyo Proxes 225.50.r15. 91v this is a excellent tire.
They are wider that the Kenda so had to adjust the belt stone guard to stop it from rubbing.

Sorry Billy, but your answer above to my quoted reply doesn't tie up. Did you mean to quote someone else?

Cheers OJ, I'll be interested in your thoughts but from what Bruce says this will be a good choice.

I'm on 10K now but not down to wear bars yet. The Kenda has worn fairly even, not too much difference between sides and the middle.

I'm between this and the Yoko S-Drive JCThorne recommends.

I know what you're saying, and I do read lots of other threads and search for things.

I'm more interested in OJs experience as he's in the UK too so wil be riding on our roads in our conditions. Not to say someone in the US may not have experienced the exact same conditions, it's just driving in the US is quite different from over here.

For instance, roundabouts. We have them everyhere and they put a particular type of stress on the bike and tyre when exiting them fast. I've seen 2 roundabouts in all of my visits to the US. We also have a lot of tight twisty country roads, agan not that common in the US unless you live in certain states.
