• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

oil tank strainer, air filter, adjust valves

Hi folks , since the spyder is difficult disassemble & reassemble I have 3 questions I have 16,000 miles on my 2012 RTS . Does the oil tank strainer with regular oil changes ever get real dirty or clogged? does the air filter get dirty quickly with highway driving? Do the valves really need to be adjusted ? and at how many miles?

Hard to say..!!

I do all my own work but can tell you I'm at 18,000 miles on valves and they are fine. I did change the air filtering system recently and the filter in the stock box was still good and we ryde mostly backroads. I have cleaned the oil tank screen and found nothing. It is a choice and how comfortable you are with how your machine is running. The screen and air filter are easy enough and if you go with the K&N air filter you'll be good for 50,000 miles. Valves are the major work and expense. Brp did change the schedule but you have to decide...
