There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Oil leak?

Just noticed today that I've got some kinda fluid running down the side of my right panel near the front foot peg...it's not a lot but I'm pulling the panels off tomorrow to take a look...any idea of what it may be?...looks and smells like oil...blowback from the fan?...Don't know...but will find out.

Both my Spyder and my wife's Spyder had a coolant hose clamp on the lower right side that appeared to have not been tightened at the factory. Check the hose clamp. I bet it's lose!

If not, possibly the cap on your coolant tank is lose.

If it's dripping onto the plastic behind the radiator it could be some oil coming from the drain hole in the airbox.

I agree. We had the same oil in the airbox issue. (sorry, I initially thought you said a coolant leak)

If it turns out to be oil from your airbox, contact krb1945. He sells a great fix for this issue!

It's leaking on the lower right hand side panel...almost directly in line with the foot peg....by the way..it's a sm5...2009

Have you run your finger through it to determine what it might be? My guess would also be oil from the air box. While it normally drips onto the flat black panel, when the fan comes on it could blow it quite a bit further back.

Let us know what you find when you remove the panels.

Gonna watch the forum for suggestions...who's placing the odds? <laughing>

;);)
100 TO 1 = It's blow by from the crankcase vent hose into the air box.
Then when enough oil builds up it drips out the weep hole bottom right side of the air box. Fix mine almost two years ago with a half inch piece of foam in the vent hose. :2thumbs:

Yep...oil in the air box. I used to get that until I installed Lamont's catch-can fix. I believe krb1945's fix is a good idea as well.

1,000 rubies for the correct answer goes to boborego who supplied the problem with the crankcase vent hose....thanks for the input folks...much appreciared...Larry
