• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Observations on a end of season ride.

Do you have a Firstgear suit?
Ron can fix you up; ifyou need one!

I stop riding, once the Salt Trucks hit the highways... :yikes:
Bob: I put my spyder away before I see the salt trucks, they use salt/ liquid brine on the roads here in Vermont.

What do they use on the roads in the winter in your area?
Deanna

I think that they use the same... Stuff ... here! :gaah:
We've got some trucks that are out there still throwing "rock slat", and we've got some that are trying to "pickle" the roads... :D

Second the motion on Firstgear. Have jackets, pants, and liners. That has always been my go to when the weather gets wet or cold.

No salt here. They use glacial gravel. The small pebbles are wonderful for giving you a new windshield each year. Glass breakage coverage is almost a, must carry. When it gets windy in the spring, the fine dust goes into the air making those with allergies sneeze, and filling the mountain valley's with a blue haze that looks like Los Angeles in the morning.
