• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

NOT ALL KEYS FIT THE RT

I recently bought a spare key to store in a safe place on the bike for the day I lose the one in my pocket. (That's a Money Back Guarantee item) I took the key to a local, reputable key shop. They didn't do a good job of cutting it so it worked but with a lot of jiggling. That aside, I took the key back to the dealer to be programmed. After 6 or so attempts and contact with BRP they still could not program the key. I went to another dealer who advised that they also could not because the key was the wrong key. It looked like a duck but .... The proper key has been ordered and should be here this week. When I have it cut, I'll go to a different locksmith. This is to just let you know to ensure your dealer sells you the proper key. I have a '14 RT. I don't know what the difference in the keys was but they are not all the same...

The 2014 bikes have a "rolling code" security system...
I don't know what that means; but it's more complex than the older system.
You used to be able to clone a key, and it'd work just fine...
With this system; it takes a trip to the BUDS hookup at the dealers
