Nor-Cal Spyder Rally

Well the inaugural Nor-Cal Spyder Rally is in the books and it was a tremendous success. Reservations are already being made at the Black Oak Casino for those eager to attend the 2017 event. We have a block of 50 rooms ( just to start) and at least 8 are already booked for September 12,13 and 14. Some Highlights from 2016!

The people: No drama just great friendly Spyder, trike and two wheel riders. Miles of Smiles!
The Weather: the very best Mid 80s in the lower levels mid 60s at 8730 feet!
The Roads: Perfect conditions with all the big sweeping turns and wonderful twisties you could ask for. One person on the Ebbetts Pass ryde said she felt like she was on an amusement park ride, and NO traffic!
The Vistas: The views from the road were stunning, really breath taking!
BRP: Not only did they sponsor this great event they sent three top employees to the event along with two custom Spyder F3s, lots of cool raffle prizes including a one of a kind custom Akrapovic Exhaust, actually priceless.
The Venue: Black Oak Casino did an awesome job taking care of us with food and facilities.
Fred Rau: One of the original Spyder 5 in attendance, commented to me and our Chapter President that he had been to 38 Rally's in a 90 day period of time, and that from his perspective this was THE best FIRST year Rally he had ever attended! Wow, thanks Fred!

So I will post some pictures later, but I want all of you to seriously consider attending this event next year. I promise you that you will have more fun than you ever had at any other Rally!

These guys were great to be with. They put the face to the faceless BRP! They really care about their customers, and you can see it in everything they do. Thanks Pier-Luc, Steve and Carl for everything you did to make this a great event!

Thanks to you and Ann! You guys were awesome! My F3L is finally Squared Away and REALLY handles like a dream. You guys came to the rescue for some spyders that had issues and I know that everybody appreciated the work you did for them. If you are going to Red Rocks make sure you take the chance to get Squared Away!:yes:

Joe and I had a really good time and thank you to all who worked so hard to put this event on. Black Oak Casino really did a great job on all of the catered events the food was really good.

As we were packing our tools for the event we came across a box with Napa vacuum hoses and I set them aside. Joe said we are taking those and I said I wasn't planning on it. Figure the odds someone would have their hoses go bad at this rally. Well he won and the hoses were packed and it was a good thing as Doug was throwing codes and in Limp Mode due to a cracked hose.

It was great to see old friends and to make a bunch of new ones as well. We have booked our room for next year and I hope to see you there.

Glad you and Joe Had fun, are you planning on making it an annual event? We aren't doing any long distance rides next year, Patti is having surgery Oct 17th to repair damage from last years 2 wheeler accident that will be extensive and it will be six months before she can do a whole lot and up to a year before fully healed. We want to do it the following year though so hope it stays as great as everyone is raving about. Have safe travels wherever the road may take you.

Cool, if all goes well she will be riding a new one and I will be on our current one "Orient Express". We plan on replacing the wrecked bike with the RT she wants, no more 2 wheelers! Of course it will need to be Squared Away, Joe and Ann do fantastic work.

Really fun and infomative

Jan and I had a great time at the rally. We met lots of great sSpyder riders and the venue was perfect. I had both our F3s' previously lazer aligned,however after questioning the tech. I had my suspicions that it was not done correctly. So, we had Joe and Ann from Squared Away do them again while I watched. Sure enough, they both needed alignment. Both Joe and Ann spent the time to,show us the whole process and now I am assured that it is done correctly. Spyders handle much better.
Over all, this rally has tomrankmas one of the best I have ever attended. Good job to all who organized the rally.

I want to thank everyone who was involved with this wonderful rally.

This was our first of many and we already have our reservations for next year.

Everyone was so very helpful answering questions as I have only had my Spyder for a month and coming from riding a Goldwing Trike there is a huge amount of Spyder knowledge I need to accumulate. I have ridden my Spyder a total of 23 miles so we drove our vehicle up and just had a great time.

Thank you to everyone for a wonderful time, at a fantastically organized event.
It was a true pleasure meeting wonderful people and having wonderful memories of those 3 days.
