• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Non-Cali

gkamer

Sadly passed away, December '23.
I was following a thread in a Ryker group on Facebook, and a question came up. Seems some fella brought a Ryker from a friend. The side panel on the bike showed 900, but the fella noticed under the seat it said 600. He claimed the friend told him he purchased a 600 from the dealership but was able to ride off on a 900. Yeah, I know that sounds pretty hokey to me too.

Anyway I shared the link to BRP's Safety Recall Vin Look Up and told him to plug in his VIN and it would tell him what model Ryker he had. He said he has not received his title yet.

But just for the heck of it I decided to plug in my VIN and see what popped up. This is what it showed:

VEHICLE :
RD RYKER 900 ACE 19 NON-CALI

I am guessing the Non-Cali comment means my Ryker does not meet California's emission control standards. I guess it's a good thing I don't live in California or this could prove to be a "Houston we have a problem", situation. :)

All motorcycles in California do not yet have to be “smogged” like cars/trucks. Even used bikes from out if state are ok after several months as a used vehicle.
