• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Nolan N40 Full Helmet feedback

Hemet Spyder

New member
Does anyone have any feedback on this helmet?
The wife and I looked at them at the motorcycle show in Long Beach.
We like the idea that it converts from a full face to a open face helmet.
What do y'all think?

Choices choices..!!

There are many modular helmets out there. We currently have the HJC model and are happy with them but this one you mention is one of the newer designs and looks interesting. Hope someone has one and gets to you with a review...

I bought N103 for my wife and I have N102 and N104 for me .Nolan is very good helmet I had been use along time . Your wife will be like Nolan

It looks similar to their N43 Trilogy which I have had for a few years, I like the helmet, a very big shield so I don't get claustrophobic and the built in drop down sun shield is great, it's also one of the cooler helmets I've ever worn, lots of ventilation. It's not the quietest helmet I've had, but I wear ear plugs so it's no problem. To be honest I've removed the chin bar to ride so I can't comment on that.

I was looking at the N104, but I think the Revzilla review said that the Sena's wouldn't work on those helmets. Do you know if they will or do you use the Nolan communicators.

I have six assorted Nolan helmets. Half are 40 series and the rest are 100 series.

I like the fit, the drop down sunshades, the fact the front opens up for ease in putting on/off. The 40's have removable chin piece so you can also use as a three quarter helmet.

The safety people will tell you that the 40 series is not as safe as a full-blown, full face helmet--but that is a choice you have to consider.

I usually use the 100's when the weather is colder, the 40's for most summer riding.

I installed both sena's to my helmet and my wife so I can talk with my wife when we ride together ,it easy to install

I have a great looking N100 for snowmobiling.
I have a N102 for riding the Spyder, and the wife has a N104 and even though she likes it, she prefers her N40.

Personally, I don't trust my safety to any helmet that's "Made in China", as their quality is questionable, and I don't want to find out the hard way.
My Nolan helmet is made in Italy. I trust their quality.

I just received my new Nolan N104. Lot of great features, especially the chin bar locking mechanism and the internal sunshade. I was wearing an older model Scorpion before - this is far superior. Put it on and wore it around the house for awhile... the fit is excellent and their sizing chart is very accurate.

Really looking forward to riding with it... and some warmer weather.
