• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sacramento Future Spyder Rider Here

Future NorCal Spyder Rider here, I hopefully will be getting my SE5 Spyder in the next month or so. there not even out yet here, there supposed to get here end of aug. hopeing i can take a test drive on one when they get em. I went and test drove a SM5 yesterday it was my second time riding one. this time i auctually got to take it a bit further than i did the first time the dealer was really cool about it and said he would email when the SE5's came in so i could come out and test drive one. Iam a big guy at 6'8 so im looking forward to not having to shift gears manually and im thinking im gonna need some handlebar risers also just not sure which ones i will get. I really like the way the Micron Slip on Exhaust sounds but im not sure if there legel to have on it in CA I love the weather we have but man we got the stupidest Laws.im also thinking i may need a talller windshield as i could really feel it hitting me in the face just driving around at 50mph or less. I havent rode a motorcycle since i was a kid so im really looking forward to getting my :spyder: out on some twisty turns like up near Coloma that should be a nice drive to look forward too one of these days :) :2excited:

Called Elk Grove dealer to check on SE5s. They said they had some SM5s
last week. No SE5s yet. Per the sales manager.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, NORCALS!

Test drove SM5 at Rancho Cordova today. The staff were nice and very patient with me. They had a handful on hand and a couple with "sold sign". They are having a BRP event on Aug. 30-31 for test drives including one SE5. 10-4 American Power Sports. Has anyone done business with this dealer before, and how's their service dept? :chat:

I did not have a good experience with the sales manager Sean:yikes:.
I will never buy anything from them. I ended up buying in Lodi and am happy with both sales and service departments so far.

dealer selling prices

I have not yet ordered my Spyder, even though I have test rode them at 3 different places. What I'm finding out is that the 3 dealers have each added $795 over list for the SE5 Red, that I would order. Can anyone offer me some info on pricing, and why they have added almost 800 buck on to the list price of 16999.00. Could it be that BRP is requiring dealers to increase the prices??
Thanks, Mickc

List price is only part of the puzzle. All dealers will add freight and prep charges to that. Some will also add a stupid "documentation" fee. These charges usually vary from location to location, and dealer to dealer, so for three dealers to be exactly the same is odd. Tax is added to the top, as are the title and registration fees. A reputable dealer will provide you with a written quote, specifically stating each charge individually. If they will not break it down, tell them you will shop elsewhere, then do it.

I had significant difficulties with American Power Sports after the sale. The registration for my Spyder was screwed up (it was registered as an ATV). Dealer was not helpful at all in getting it corrected. At the end of the day, I ended up paying to register my Spyder twice (once on the invoice from dealer, then again with state.)

If you do decide to buy from them, Steve was good to deal with. Beau was extremely rude and refused to help. I'm still undecided whether I plan to give them my service business.

Hmmmm,,,,I have an appointment with American on Friday to have my 3K service.....I have been going to Elk Grove Power Sports...However,,,,After my last Warranty Service I am not Satisfied with their performance....The Trike came out MORE Dirty than it went in and the Service guy seemed Very Put out that he was going to have to get the Oil and Coolant off my Trike....Seems the Detail Kid was at lunch and he thought he would pull one over on me.....:banghead:

American Marine by far has the Cheapest prices for service around the Area.....Im gonna give them a Go.....I will report my findings.....LOL

you paid too much if you bought in Lodi. I live there and "bought local". It was a mistaske. The service department is fine but bike pricing, accesories and service costs are all 10-50% higher than all other dealers. Watch yourself there.
