• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No Reverse; Fault Codes: P0720 & P0740 - anyone else? Fixes?

My F3S wouldn't go into reverse this morning. Engine just rev's when I push the buttons. Fault Codes: P0720 & P0740
I rode it over to the dealership for lunch and had a tech look at it. He thinks the actuator failed. He ordered one and I have an appointment next Friday.

Has anyone else experienced something like this happening?

Thanks

I've had to change to reverse actuator on a friends' 2023 RT. You can verify its' operation yourself, (with a helper), by looking underneath the left hand side of the Spyder while your helper tries to shift into reverse. The actuator is mounted in a bracket that is at an angle, and is the lowest point of the Spyder on the left side. There is a cable from the actuator to the shift mechanism. With the engine running, the parking brake set, and the foot brake held (for your safety) see if the actuator pulls the cable. If not, the actuator has failed.

Thanks for the reply.
Yeah, that's exactly what the shop tech did, when I stop at the dealership the other day.
I let it sit all weekend and decided to try it Monday morning. Surprisingly, it worked and has been working all week. I still plan on taking it to the dealership on Friday.
