Nice trip to Hell and new milestone....

Had a great weekend of riding. Tina (8legs) and I rode to Hell, MI on Saturday and then down towards her home territory in Indiana-- all on backroads. Figured we best get some more serious miles on before the big trip next week!

On Sunday with both Spyders in my driveway-- we were packing them and getting ready for the day-trip and low and behold we see a white RS ride by! We waved and he waved back---- but didn't stop !

We we're a bit taken back that he didn't turn around and stop by-- I mean what are the chances of 3 of us meeting like that? Figured maybe he was in a hurry--- either of us would have stopped for sure-- I do that all the time.

What do the rest of you usually do?

So I hit a new milestone on Mileage today-- actually 150 miles past what the photo shows. Tina's really racking up the miles too--- she's over 11,000 miles....:thumbup:

Can't wait for the trip to TN in a week!

outstanding. I try to stop if I see spyders in my area but I agree if he was in a hurry then I don't. I was a a ride for the troops today and there were 2 other spyders, the RT owner named bruce came and talked to me, he had got my # from my brother who told him all about my spyder and is one of the reasons he bought his.

The other owner I did not see or talk to, kinda sucks but you can't talk to everyone I guess, gives you another reason for a trip I guess.

I will defintely stop if I don't have somewhere I have to be and time is critical. In the case of seeing 2 in the driveway like that, I might just have to be late though.

I'd stop if at all possible. Maybe it was a newbie and they didn't know how close the Spyder community is. Someday there will be so many of us on the road that it will be impossible to stop for everyone we see.

I'd stop, but I agree lots of newbies don't know about us or how close we have become so they might well feel strange stopping off without invite. for us Spyderlovers.com is a given and a part of our lives, but at least half the people on spyders that I meet at conventional bike nights haven't heard of us - so the more we get the word out the more likely everyone will feel comfortable stopping and hanging out whenever they see a Spyder anywhere:2thumbs:

Stopping is not always and option for me, while on errand runs and such. However, if I'm taking the 'long way home from work' I'll stop, try and chat. This is how I met up with the first other Spyder Ryder here in St. John's. We've been friends and hanging out on a weekly basis ever since! :thumbup:

Hey, Dan, congrats on 35,000. Well done! :thumbup: When I see a fellow Spyder rider I will usually pull over if possible and say hello at the minimum. If a nice chat ensues all the better; sometimes folks have things to do, though, so in those cases I will just move on. But at least we got a hello in.
