Hard to know exactly what happened here but it appears the cement truck was blocking the entire roadway. Maybe turning left? Or stopped completely. There may not have been anywhere for the riders to go.

Concrete truck looks like it is sitting at a curve, with a fairly narrow road. Without being there, I would speculate the truck cut the corner. Limited sight distance for the bikes to see the blocked curve.

Don't ride any faster than your brain can travel and don't trust anyone. You never know what is around a curve, cow-deer-cement truck or your Mother-In Law! :yikes:

It's about 0.240 seconds. So, if we are driving 60 mph, which is 88 fps, and see an obstacle ahead of us, we will have traveled about 22 feet from the time the event occurred to the time we start reacting to it.
