• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Newby with a question regarding the trunk

Greetings, just picked up a 2021 RT limited. I am new to three wheelers, but been riding 2 wheelers most of my life. I was very suprised what little information the dealer was able to provide.

Just wondering about the trunk lid. Isn't it supposed to stay up when opened? I wasn't sure if mine might be broken. Is there some sort of a gas shock kit for it?

Thanks in advace

On the earlier models of RT, there is no lift support for the frunk lid. You just open it past 90 degrees and it stops at about 120. A good wind will blow it shut, but otherwise it stays open.

:congrats: & :welcome: .... On this site the front trunk is known as the " Frunk "., and the rear trunk is known as the " Trunk " .... The RT 08 thru 18 had a gas shock for the rear Trunk nothing for the Frunk .... I'm not sure what 2019 and up has - sorry .... Mike

From the video, watching specifically the gent opening the frunk, the MY'20-21 RTs open exactly the way mine does; no gas shock needed, nor IMO desired.

Thank you all who responded. Taking a closer look there is a gas shock on the right side. I removed the passenger backrest and saw the lower portion of the shock was not connected. Problem fixed

Again I am SO disappointed in the lack of Can-Am knowledge my dealer my dealer has.
