Newbie with an LED ??

My name is Cyle, I bought a 2013 ST last October. I've added the "smart triple play" from custom dynamics but the turn signals flash too fast! The instructions said this could happen and that I needed the LED tail lights ($225.00)! I can't see $200.00 + for two lights! (maybe I'm Just CHEAP),Anyway My question is "Has anyone used the LED replacement bulb with the smart triple play unit??? I have been reading the LED threads I really don't want to send her into ray:"limp mode"ray:

You should be able to add a load simulator to your turn signals. Just double check with custom dynamics to make sure it isn't too much draw for their circuitry

I Have called CD and was told that I needed "their lights" I thought/hoped, maybe that the components in the triple play kit would work if I changed the stock bulb with an LED...

I believe someone posted a solution for this. I cannot find it in the search archives, but I am sure that someone will help here.

I've read most of the threads I could find on the subject but like most things it works for some and not for others...That bulb is TOO hard to get to to take any chances...

What is the "smart triple play"? Some kind of additional lighting setup? Replacement for the standard lighting?

Custom Dynamics has them, It turns your rear turn signals into running and brake signals as well as turn signals. really lights up the rear!! the smart part is you can program the type of flash/strobe when you brake...someone correct me if i'm wrong

On a car when your turn signal, all of a sudden starts blinking fast it means that one of the bulbs is out which means the system is not getting the resistance it needs to blink at a certain rate. So the same thing applies to these lights. I am in the process of adding some extra LED strips to both the front and rear that should add more resistance which will make them blink slower.

What other lights are you talking about that will fix the problem? I added the CD LED pods in the turn signals as well as some load device. Thinking the normal bulbs would put back the resistance to make them blink normally. Would have to check with CD first.

Fast flash

It flashes like one of the bulbs is out but they are all working.. when I ordered the light kit it mentioned that the turn signals would flash faster than normal and recommended you order their tail lights too (spy-tail-con) $224.00..:yikes: That's just a little too :cus: much for two tail lights IMO.I can live with it flashing faster than normal:doorag:. I thought a replacement LED bulb would work since the Triple play unit already had a load equalizer in it... :dontknow:IDK:dontknow::banghead::banghead:
