• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi all,

I just purchased a 2015 RT Limited from Pit Bull Powersports in Springfield, MO. I fly in to Springfield July 17th to pick it up and start the great journey back. The wife is going with me, so we are making it this year's vacation time.

I've been riding two wheels for 39 years and this is my first 3 wheeler. I've been test riding and doing the reading so I can to familiarize myself with this new type of riding. I'm excited to get started.

I've know Lamont (Lamonster) since 2003 and the old VTX days. I met him and Al (Honda Direct Parts) in 2007 at the VTX gathering in Ashville, NC. We made our challenge to the Dragon Tail, Blue Ridge Parkway and others during that time.

The wife and I look forward to meeting fellow spyders from WA, OR, ID.

Welcome to the zoo! Lots of great info here. I am new to :spyder2:s also and I have found that if you relax loosen your grip and most important hold your head up and look where you are going and not where your at it will be a short learning curve!:yes::yes:

Welcome to the 1300 club I just turned over 1000 miles on my 2015. I traded in my 2012 RTL. I absolutely love the 2015 it's a wonderful Bike. I'm doing a road trip that week and I'll most likely be in the Springfield area on the 17th.

Congratulations!!

I too made the jump from two wheels. We bought our :spyder2: and rode it straight from NC to IN and back. Put on 1814 miles and loved it. It was a quick learning curve of not grabbing the clutch and front brake! I LOVE the Reverse feature! No more tip toeing the wing in reverse!

Hope you enjoy it as much as we have so far!! I have found loads of helpful information on here as well!

OMG

:congrats:.....:welcome:........I did something similar, but only had to drive it 1500 miles ANNNNNND I was very knowledgeable about the Spyder and how it handled. Soooooooo if at all possible get as much seat time as you can prior to the trip, because it drives nothing like a Motorcycle......You must drive it like a CAR...............Good luck .....Mike

Things change.....I received a call from Kurt at Lifestyles Honda yesterday. They just put together a yellow RT LTD and quoted me out the door good price and decided to purchase locally. I'll pick it up Saturday morning in Mt. Vernon.

Congrats! and either dealer is great. I used to work for Pitbull before moving back here to the PNW.

if you want to spend a day to break it in, come on a ride around Hood Canal with a few of us on Sunday. I posted the information here on the Washington forum, but it's also on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/840964935957869/ I will be meeting the group at Shari's and plan on getting there a couple hours early so I can get some breakfast in me. :)

This group is informal, but a great group. There's also a formal chapter, the Spyder Ryder of America - Puget Sound Chapter that I am the VP of. I can give you some info about it sunday if you are able to come out.

Sorry I missed this post. However, I had "honey doo's" scheduled for Sunday. I'm scheduled for the Trike Safety Course in Auburn July 16th and 17th.
